To construct a new upscale commercial building on Manhattan's upper west side.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
To help complete this facility, Heritage installed four 3-million BTU condensing boilers and 10 inline pumps for condenser and hot water systems. The company also installed 10 CITY MULTI® air conditioners with multiple evaporator sections that work off a single condenser. The Multi City devices help conserve energy by providing ductless zoned heating and cooling for up to 48 separate zones each.
In addition, two rooftop air-handling units service the residential corridors, while 430 packaged terminal air conditioning units fed by approximately 20 secondary hot water risers heat the individual apartments. Supported by a plate-and-frame heat exchanger, a singlecell cooling tower on the 20th floor roof cools the water supply for five water-cooled air conditioning units located in the mezzanine mechanical equipment room.
For this LEED silver facility, Heritage provided a single-source HVAC and mechanical systems solution that serves both retail and residential space.
Situated at the corner of 72nd Street and Broadway, overlooking the very heart of the Upper West Side, this building includes studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom apartments, some with outdoor terraces. In addition, the building includes retail space, a fully attended lobby, a lounge and fitness center, a children’s playroom, and 10,000 square feet of landscaped roof terrace.
