Assistant Controller / HR Administrator
In her role as Assistant Controller, Stacy provides the Cost Accounting and General Ledger analysis that is vital to the Company’s critical business decisions. She assists management in the development of budgets and forecasts to aid in business planning and development. She also compiles the Company’s financial reporting information to assure compliance with corporate reporting requirements and prepares pertinent schedules for the completion of the corporate Income Tax return. Stacy helps manage an accounting staff that provides the necessary support to the Company’s operational staff.
In addition to her accounting functions, Stacy oversees the administration of Human Resources and Payroll insuring that policies are followed and governmental requirements, including the filing of employment tax returns, are adhered to.
Stacy has worked with Heritage for more than 17 years, practically her entire professional career. When Stacy came to work with Heritage, they were undergoing a complete overhaul of their accounting software. She played an integral part in the implementation of that software, from account structure to report writing. She now maintains the accounting system and all the inquiries and reports key to the management of the business. In addition to her diverse capabilities, Stacy is key to the execution of all internal and external audits.
Stacy holds an Associate of Science degree in Accounting from Suffolk County Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Dowling College. She has also completed several leadership training course with Dale Carnegie.
The Personal Side
In her downtime, Stacy enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young boys. She can be found most of that time on the soccer fields or running her kids to other various activities.
