As head of Heritage Mechanical Services’s drafting and engineering teams, Steve ensures that every project is based on sound designs, accurate drawings, and high-quality components. In the drafting department, Steve and his team convert engineering, architectural, and other drawings to the needs of the fabrication department. He also oversee the piping and sheet metal fabrication work Heritage Mechanical Services does both for its own and others’ projects. His responsibilities include setting prices, monitoring budgets and schedules, reviewing product quality, and ensuring that all components are delivered on time to customers and jobsites.
In addition, Steve is in charge of continuously updating the firm’s drafting skills, and purchasing the technologies and materials needed to ensure optimum output through the drafting and engineering process.
Sheet Metal Services Expertise
A third-generation sheet metal worker, Steve has been a member of Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association, Local Union #28 for more than 30 years. After completing his union apprenticeship, he held shop foreman and field foreman positions with various local mechanical contracting firms. He then joined Heritage’s commercial sheet metal and piping fabrication operation, where he spent six years in the drafting department before taking his current post. In addition to his apprenticeship, Steve has studied both drafting and welding through Local #28.
The Personal Side
Steve and his wife, Michelle, have two children. His son, Paul, is a fourth generation sheet metal worker, and his daughter, Nicole, is a graduate of Utica College in New York. During leisure hours, Steve enjoys boating and fishing.
