Bill oversees several key support activities that play a significant role in Heritage Mechanical Services’s continuing ability to effectively meet its clients demanding requirements. Working with the CEO, project managers, administrative personnel and others, he purchases products and services for both internal administrative and project requirements. In the pipe fabrication shop, he reviews working drawings, procures appropriate materials, makes job assignments, oversees manufacturing, maintains quality standards, and ensures that all fabricated mechanical piping components arrive at the jobsites when needed. He also keeps the company’s truck fleet up to date, properly serviced, and fully organized for transporting parts, tools, and other items from the warehouse to project locations. And as facilities manager, he makes sure all of the company’s buildings are properly maintained for productive day-to-day operation. The result is the efficient and responsive “back-office” functions that ensure smooth, timely delivery of high-performance mechanical construction projects.
Pipe Fabrication Management Expertise
Bill has nearly 35 years in the industry, 28 of them in New York’s pipe, valve, and fitting business. While working for the city’s major wholesalers, he held branch manager, purchasing manager, and sales representative positions. He joined Heritage Mechanical Services in 2004 as pipe fabrication shop manager. Over the years, Bill has taken a variety of industry education courses. These have included Victaulic Company of America and Viking’s fire protection training, Dresser Industries’ waterworks training, and State Industries’ commercial and residential water heater training.
The Personal Side
Bill and his wife have three children and two grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, working out of doors around his house, walking, and swimming. He is a New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.
